Now, what would really be effective is for our own people that are already naturalized and integrated and assimilated and digested in the US system to stand up for our cause.
Please, do this for us seniors. As citizens and permanent residents, your voice will be effectively heard. Case in point - legislation on re-uniting families. To begin with, family based has nearly 60% more visas than employment based and nearly 80% of the visas available are exempt from per-country limits. And yet, the politicians want to reform family based immigration process because the people at the receiving end are their citizens. There is nothing wrong with it because the wait-time for extended family members are really long too which is a shame. But you see, there are bills that are actively discussed and passed in that category i.e fundamental solutions are being explored.
Why is Mr. Bobby Jindal and likes of him not taking up our cause actively? People use their "humble-background" in campaign times. Why do they fail in holding out a helping hand to people that are stuck in such "humble-background"? Do you see such apathy in other minority communities?

My wife's H1 COS is approved with a start date of Oct 1, 08. Due to a family emergency she needs to travel to India and stay there for extended period of time (well past Oct 1. Expecting to return back End of Nov). Currently she is on H4 with her H4 Visa stamp expired.
My question is can she come back on H1-B status at end of Nov? I understand that she will have to apply for H1-B visa stamping without paystubss in India and that can be very risky.
She needs to leave ASAP (once we receive the approval in hand). Can she leave prior to Oct 1 or does she have to wait till Oct 1 and then go in order for COS to take effect?
Your response is really appreciated.

Really... Millions... Have you checked the disclaimer in your lit pack under the 6-4-3 plan. A typical IBO makes $115 a month... Amway / BWW was forced to put this statement because of a lawsuit brought by Amway Diamonds and Double Diamonds... You can google...
I know you will now state that "you don't want to be an average... an average corporate employee makes $30K.. etc.. etc.." (Straight from Brad Duncan's CD) I have used it myself hundreds of times on the prospects...

At first sight of this proposal, those who oppose "non-quota" migth turn off immediately and not be open for further discussion. Imagine, even investor visa has quota of 10,000 per year.
I agree that the current situation might change their minds. This proposal is better than doing nothing at all. I, myself, is not yet buying a house until I get my GC or atleast be sure to get one in the near future. I am worried though that my bank savings will go to drain.

If I am in the fourth/fifth year of my CA PR when I decide to go to CA, will I be allowed at least in the country.
Another question was if I am in my 4th/5th year and know that it might take me another year before I go to CA, can I apply for CA PR again, even when I already have my CA PR OR if I apply for my CA PR immediately after my current CA PR expires, would I get it again (assuming I have the necessary points)

My opinion is you should allign your thinking with a party which has the least divisive idealogy. Mulayam/Mayawati/Laloo type parties were born for simple reason, 'Caste politics'. Congress has only one agnda 'Communal/Secular', they call themselves secular but they have played the divisive card like none other in India..Congress have ruled in India for longest period than any other party, In UP Congress was the default govt. until late 1980, but the condition of the minorities in those regions will tell you how much they were misused & misguided.
And now , since they took over in 2005 they've been talking about reservations, they alligns with Muslim League in south, they support terrorists like 'Taslamuddin', and ofcourse everybody is aware about their role in Amarnath Land Transfer issue. On the other hand there's a party who worked almost for everybody for 5 years. In those 5 years we saw how India started showing up in US media as emerging business leader, that started happening in 2001-2002...You need to give them their due credit. Now you see the western media, they are all lashing out at Indian govt. with 'Weak govt.' charges...It is upto you to decide what kind of politics you want from your politicians. People argue 'But BJP didn't build the temple when they were in power' and my answer is did you want them to do that ? isn't it good that they did not raise controversial issue and just worked on development. Babri Masjid, Gujarat riots etc. are raised again and again by parties who don't have any agenda, but only one agenda and that is to divide and get get votes....

Those of you who had gone thru this process may be able to help me. My 7 year old daughter is a US citizen. If my family applies for Canadian PR, do I have to apply for PR for her also?. I have heard that US citizens do not need any permission to live in Canada. Any insight is appreciated.

Please, they do not pull aside every 'Khan' in the world. Yes, things seem OTT every now and then with an amount of drunken patriotism -- and you may come across an occasional "Voldemort" from the INS. However, can you place blame solely on homeland security? We live in a global world / economy of nearly 6 billion and every day visitors with trade of varied kind - surely you cannot expect the avg Joe at homeland security to know every zero talented b'wood hero out there?! I'd also urge you to look at the brighter side of the coin - of the various programs in place to have African Muslims, Arabs and the Iraqis being moved into the US, by giving them jobs, homes and permanent resident status. My Priority date is Jan 2004, EB3-India category having approved I-140 and applied 485. I have sent my EAD and aP for renewal which expire in last week of September. My spouse is in EB2-India having pd Dec 2005, also applied I-485 (140 is approved) and has applied for EAD and aP renewal which expire in last week fo October. We both applied independently and are using our H1bs and not EAds.
Since my spouse's PD is going to be current in August'2008, I was planning on applying for a second 485 as a dependent on my spouse's application. Questions i have are -
1) I did my medical for previous 485 in June of last year, is that still valid?
2) Can I still keep my previous 485 application or should I cancel it.
3) What should i do about my AP and EAD? I have travelling job and am thinking of looking for a local job around end of the year or begining of next year. So would like to know what I should do about EAD and AP
Lastly is there something i am not thinking of?
Will greatly appreciate your response.

NaMo will certainly CHANGE India for sure in a positive way in all aspects. In my opinion, he has another 10 more years to go before he becomes PM. I have very high hopes for him.
A politically active friend once told me (The quote touched me very much), if NaMo manages to stay alive for another 10-15 years, he will certainly be PM of India and that will be the start of India returning to golden ages.

If this thread (forum) was a court room. It would have been declared by Judge that YSR is indeed the most corrupt politician AP had and pending further investigation all the occupied & grabbed lands, wealth be ordered to pay to the victims. In addition, the Judge would put a life time ban his Son from active politics.

I just talked to my lawyer and he said that anything is possible(midmonth/early week retrogression)..Lets hope for the best and prepare fr the worst.If u can ,just target to file ur application asap.Ifwe are in the state of denial and try to console ourselves saying that nothing will happen and if something happens who is at loss.So be happy that u have some clue and file as early as possible.For things that u have cntrol on try to speed up.GOD bless us all.
