so I got my gear in today. The purpose for me is to be able to do interviews with minimal gear. All in all, it cost me $50 canadian.
I dont know how to post photos or else i would post how it looks.
It will serve my purpose for interviews.

You can perform conversions from any number system in the same way. Each position has a value based on it's distance from the . separating the whole portion from the fractional portion (decimal point in decimal). The position just to the left of this point is the 0th position, and this goes up as you move left and down as you move right, so:

Chances are the bases you'll deal with are 2,8,10, and 16. Even base 8 has fallen out of favor, but i guess it's worth working with. If you're doing this by hand, and you're moving between 2,8, and 16 there are some "tricks". Every octet is 3 bits, every hexit is 4 bits. Knowing this you can do conversions from either of these bases to base 2 or back again pretty quickly and easily with grouping. Ext. Drive will not mount however it shows in Disk Utility?
Back story: Been using a Lacie backup on my MBPro with Time Machine. Decided to use the ext. drive to back up my old G3 yosemite running OS 10.3. It would not show on desktop. Decided to pass on that. Went back to my new MBPro, plugged it in and states disk utility cannot repair. "disk1s3" See images. Help! I have stored data on this drive and it was working great.
What did I do ; x

Anyone using a MIDI interface? im looking at the M-Audio ones on the apple store
I've been using Logic Pro 8 since it was released with an M-Audio USB Fast Track. I also bought an M-Audio Keystation 88. The keyboard feels good and I haven't had any problems with it. The Fast Track sounds decent enough. Latency isn't too bad when Logic Pro is set to low-latency mode.

Hello I just picked up a Mac Mini server 2.53 Ghz.
To good a deal, server with 2 years applecare left, wireless keyboard and magic mouse, all for $400
I already have an iMac, 2 windows PC's, apple TV iOS
Should I just install Normal snow leopard on it? are they any real advantages of the server OS? any draw backs?
So far it it feels different, Could I put windows on one drive an SL on the Other. Windows and snow leopard server.
This was a buy and ask questions later purchase and any help or Ideas would be great.

1) Thees models had a problem with the neck, it would wear out and the display would be like a limp noodle. Kinda like the second pic they have there where it's touching the desk all the way down. Thats what they do over time and they don't want to stay up after that. Unless you replace the neck which is a HUGE expense.
Thanks for pointing this out. I asked the seller, so I'll just have to wait and see what s/he says. The neck does look strong, though, in my opinion, because it's holding up the screen in the first picture. Maybe the seller just put it down to show what it can do? I don't know.

That's essentially what I was looking for as well, first just a way of figuring out how the backlight LED levels are determined and then trying to see if it could be controlled.
Interesting. It works great for me in Xcode 3.2.6 on OS X 10.6.6. Are you using another version or OS? How does it break for you? I just created a new Application -> Command Line Tool -> Foundation, add IOKit to the project and away we go.

I can agree with the OP. The other day at BestBuy they didn't have 4gb in stock but I managed to find one. Thinking I was the man by finding the last and hidden 4gb only to get to the register to have it rung up at $240. Turns out it was one of those bundles that came with three lego games. :(

the screen sits away from windows and the sun.
i don't smoke.
there's no dog.
the areas that are yellow tinged follow the edges of the screen and best i can figure, it's the pixels burning out in a weird way, or (less likely in my view) dustparticles inside the glass that's making it discolored.
(shrug)
